Arnold's Conan
I was at Bull Moose today, it's a local chain in Maine and physical media store is what I refer to it as. They buy and sell movies, music, books, video games, and more.
I'm looking for the Arnold Schwarzenegger Conan movies, I haven't watched them in years and years and I want to watch them. For $6 I found a double feature DVD of Conan The Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer. Then I go looking for Red Sonja because I need to watch all the Conan movies.
I find it on DVD, and while reading the back of the case I see Arnold's character is called Lord Kalidor. This can't be right, he's Conan in this flick no doubt about it!
I did some searching online to discover that he was, essentially, Conan but due to right dispute and other issues they changed his name. I mean he has Conan's sword for crying out loud!
Another interesting note, Sandahl Bergman who played Conan's love interest Valeria in Conan the Barbarian plays Queen Gendren in Red Sonja, the protagonist in the film.
I can't be the only one that didn't realize this.
